Honey Roast Ham with Cloves a great table centre for a buffet or for a special occasion.  The ham can be served hot with a white sauce or tomato sauce or served cold with a salad or in sandwiches.

IngredientsHoney Roast Ham

1 ready-to-eat 10 to 12 lb. ham with the bone
3 tbsp. Dijon mustard
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. honey
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 cups orange juice
1/4 cup whole cloves

Method

Preheat oven to 325° F.

Score ham with a sharp knife in a diagonal pattern then score again in the opposite direction to create a diamond shaped pattern.

Insert whole cloves point where the scorring crosses.

Brush top of ham with Dijon mustard and place ham in a roasting tin

Combine the sugar, honey and cinnamon and heat gently for about 2 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly but is  still pourable.

Spread the mixture over the ham.

Pour the orange juice into bottom of roasting tin and roast at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours basting every half-hour with the juices in the pan.
