A very tasty way to serve hard boiled eggs and look good on a buffet table.  This is the basic recipe but you can add other ingredients such, crab meat or finely chopped cherry tomatoes.

IngredientsDevilled Eggs

1 dozen eggs
2 teaspoons dijon mustard
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 Tbsp minced onion or shallot
1/4 teaspoon tabasco
Salt and pepper
Paprika to sprinkle


Boil the eggs for 10 minutes

Drain the hot water from the pan and fill with cold water let them cool changing the water for more cold water as it heats up

Shell the eggs

Slice them in half lengthwise and remove the yolks and arrange the whites on a serving platter

Place the yolks into a bowl and add the mustard, mayonnaise, onion, tabasco, and a sprinkling of salt and pepper

Spoon or Pipe the mixture into the egg whites sprinkle with paprika and serve

Great for starters or picnics
