Chocolate Mousse a delicious, light dessert that is very easy to make but can look very impressive if served in pretty dishes or glasses.


75g dark chocolate , chopped and melted (standard dark chocolate combines better than one with a high cocoa content)Chocolate Mousse
2 eggs , separated
25g butter , melted
2 tbsp golden caster sugar
1 tbsp Tia Maria (optional)



Mix together the chocolate with the egg yolks and butter.

Whisk the egg whites and then whisk in the sugar until the mixture is stiff and shiney

Fold the two mixtures together along with the Tia Maria.

Divide between 4 dishes or glasses and chill until set.
