Chicken Livers pan fried with apple and onion is a cheap and tasty dish and is  a food is low in Sodium. It is also a good source of  Thiamin, Zinc, Copper and Manganese, and a very good source of Protein.  Serve it with creamy mashed potatoes and vegetable or rice for a hearty meal.

IngredientsPan fried chicken livers

  • 2 lbs chicken livers
  •  1 medium onion, thinly sliced)
  • 1 apple, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • pepper, to taste
  • chopped fresh parsley to garnish



In a large non-stick frying pan or wok, saute chicken livers and onions on medium-high heat for 10 minutes you do not need to ass butter or oil

Reduce the heat then add chopped apples and seasonings cook for 10-15 minutes more or until done, stirring occasionally.

Serve immediately garnished with fresh chopped parsley
