Apple Pancake - Apfelpfannkuchen is a tradition breakfast dish in Germany normally as part of a buffet breakfast.  Cooked in the oven so you can get on with other things.

IngredientsApple Pancake - Apfelpfannkuchen

6 eggs
1 ½ cups milk
1 cup all-purpose flour
3 tbsp. sugar
½ tsp. salt
½ cup butter
2 apples, peeled and sliced
2 tbsp. brown sugar

Drop of Vanilla Essence (optional)

Method

Preheat oven to 425° F.

Mix eggs, milk, flour, sugar, and salt and vanilla essence if using in a blender

Place the butter in a basking dish and let it melt in the oven

Add apple slices to baking dish and leave in oven until butter sizzles about 5 minutes but don’t let the apples brown

Remove baking dish from oven and pour batter over apples. Sprinkle with brown sugar

Return to oven and bake 20 minutes or until browned

Serve hot
